Pretty in Pink 12x12 149

This painting is based on one of my daughter's photos of a zinnia in her wildflower garden. I decided to make it dimensional with the use of acrylic modeling paste. I learned a lot while working on this painting because it's a different way of using the paste for me and I had to research paint colors to find the right color to make it as close to the real color as possible (fluorescent magenta did the trick!). I love flowers and this one just sang to me a lovely song entitled "PAINT ME!!!!!" - LOL!
